Olumide Araoyinbo Goes into Hospitality Business
It was literally a red-letter day in Akure, the Ondo State capital, last Sunday when the creme de la creme of the city gathered for the grand opening of a multi-billion Naira Olart Apartment, a self-service rendezvous, located in the highbrow Ijapo Estate of the capital city.
The commissioning of the highly luxurious apartment marks a turning point in the Nigerian hospitality and tourism industry, particularly in Ondo State.
The opening was a rare occasion when royalty mixed and dined with the top political class in both Ondo and Ekiti states. Of course, nothing less was expected of the man behind Olart Apartment, Olumide Araoyinbo, a noble man and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Ondo.
Top of the list of the special guests was Barr. Tokunbo Kayode, SAN, former minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, a man with an almost unbeatable record of overseeing four ministries concurrently.
The royal class was led by a first-class king in the state, the Onirun of Irun Akoko, Oba Samuel Agboola, Akulojuorun II, and Olukere of Ikere-Ekiti, Oba Ganiyu Obasoyin.
The dedication service was led by Venerable Sunday Awosoga of All Saint Church, Ijapo-Akure, while the Ondo State Government delegation was led by the state commissioner for Women Affairs, Mrs. Juliana Oshadahun.
Speaking, a visibly happy Araoyinbo described Tokunbo as his mentor, revealing that he drew inspiration from the former minister to ensure that he strived for the best in his endeavours.
Araoyinbo, a former majority leader of the Ondo State House of Assembly, is also the President, Ondo State Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (ONDOCCIMA). He is not known to do things in half measures. The guests were treated to classy and delicious foods washed down with exquisite drinks.
