Top Designer, Ngozi Nkoloenyi’s Elevation
For over 25 years, Ngozi Nkoloenyi has ruled Lagos fashion world with her flourishing outfit, La Valerie, a subsidiary of her company, Bloomingale.
She has remained a successful designer, calling the shots in the industry as one of Nigeria’s most formidable matriarchs and a style icon. The gorgeous woman is also one of the few well-admired women in Nigeria’s social circle.
Since this stunning beauty broke into the Lagos establishment, she has remained an integral part of it ever since. Mention her name anywhere in any of the major Lagos society gatherings, and you will be surprised how many heads will nod in resounding acknowledgement of the name. Not only that, she has also remained a respected society woman who has held her own very well.
Last Sunday, the Nne Ora (Mother of all) of the Ibute-Egede community in Enugu State proved to the world that she still rules the scene when she was installed as the President Ikeja Viva L’Amour Lions Club at an event held at Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja Lagos.
In her acceptance speech as the 18th President of the club for 2023-2024, she said the club was passionate about issues of hunger, diabetes, cancer, empowerment, and humanitarian efforts.
Nkoloenyi said, “I humbly plead for your support financially to overcome these overwhelming cases facing our communities. You aid us with finances, we reach out to the needy.”
Nkoloenyi said she would be guided by the mantra that: “We are nothing without each other.”
“The Lions and Leos have seen and felt the effects of cancer on children and their families and continue to bring hope through tangible service and support.
“This takes me to my key legacy project, to build a health centre in a remote village and provide a borehole to enable the health centre to have clean water,” she added.
The serial entrepreneur was surrounded by her friends who donated handsomely towards the cause. They include former Commerce and Industry Minister, Mrs. Nike Akande, Senator Daisy Danjuma, Princess Fifi Ejindu, Pat Nwobodo, and Rear Admiral Allison Madueke (Rtd) among several others.
