The Archbishop of the Dominion Chapel International Churches, John Praise Daniel, has asked President Bola Tinubu to focus on tackling the economic and food crisis facing the country.

Speaking at a press conference in Abuja, at the weekend JohnPraise, who was also the Vice President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), said having triumphed at the Supreme Court, the Tinubu needs to face the task of governance and to seek solutions to economic crisis in the land.

JohnPraise while commenting on the affirmation of the president’s election by the Supreme Court said:

“This judgment is more than a political triumph. It is an unequivocal testament to the strength, transparency, and integrity of our judiciary system. “Our nation’s highest court has once again proven that it is a beacon of justice and that the will of the people will always be paramount.

“My dear Nigerians, this is a clarion call for unity. The affirmation by the Supreme Court transcends party lines and political allegiances. It is a reflection of our collective will as a people.”

He added: “Now, more than ever, is therefore time for us, irrespective of our political leanings, to come together and rally behind President Tinubu’s administration.”

The Bishop commended the commitment to due process by the petitioners, Mallam Atiku Abubakar of the PDP and Mr. Peter Obi of the Labour Party, adding they should see the outcome as the divine will of God.

The Vice President of the PFN, described the recent call by a Muslim cleric, Sheik Abubakar Gumi for Wike’s removal from office as unacceptable.

“It is a reflection of our collective will as a people. Now, more than ever, is therefore time for us, irrespective of our political leanings, to come together and rally behind President Tinubu’s administration,” he said.

The cleric however enjoined Tinubu to settle down to deliver good governance and tackle the hardship in the country.

“Today, our country faces numerous challenges. The critical challenges we face are of job creation, tackling insecurity, and stabilising the country’s economy.

“As you all know; we are grappling with fuel crisis that has made it increasingly difficult for the common Nigerian to travel due to skyrocketing transportation costs.

“The prices of essential food items have soared, making daily sustenance a struggle for many,” he said.

On the war between Israel and Palestine, the Archbishop appealed to world leaders to ensure immediate cease fire while pursuing dialogue as a means of resolving the conflict.

“The devastation and loss of innocent lives are tragic, and I urge immediate efforts towards ceasefire, dialogue, and understanding,” he said.

On the call for the sack of Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), the bishop urged anyone demanding for the sack of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike to desist from such act in the interest of Nigeria’s unity.

The Archbishop said that no one should be denied the right to hold office of the Minister of the FCT on account if his or her tribe or religion.

“Abuja belongs to all Nigerians, regardless of your tribe or religion- for it is God who determines our leaders,” he added.

“This is unacceptable and it must stop! I urge the Minister to remain unwavering in fulfilling the President’s mandate for the FCT,” he said
