BUA to Inaugurate New Plant in Sokoto January, 2024, Says Rabiu

The Chairman of BUA Group, one of the leading giant cement company in Africa, Abdulsamad Rabiu, said the company is set to inaugurate a new plant in Sokoto come January, 2024.
He made the disclosure yesterday on a courtesy call on Governor Ahmed Aliyu of Sokoto State.
He congratulated the governor on his recent electoral success and assured him of total support.
He further disclosed that the company is working tirelessly to ensure that the new line under construction in the state will be inaugurated by January, 2024.
He said: “Your Excellency, it will interest you to know that I was in Abuja yesterday where I have opportunity to meet Mr President. And informed Mr President of the company’s plan to inaugurate our new plant currently under construction in Sokoto by January 2024”.
“I told him that the management will be glad to have him as a special guest to inaugurate the plant. “
BUA Cement Company in Sokoto still remains the biggest private business with more workforce in the whole of Northwest, and this is because of the enabling environment we enjoyed here in Sokoto.
“I must also tell you sir that apart from our social intervention, it also worthy to note that it is only here in Sokoto that any residents can walk down to the factory and buy a bag of Cement at rate of N3,500 only.”
The chairman, however, assured the governor that the company will continue to prioritize the interest of the host communities in the state in the provision of more social interventions.
In his response the Governor Ahmed Aliyu, commend BUA Group for its support to the people of the state through various social intervention programmes.
The governor described the various cooperate social responsibilities embark upon by the company in the state as incredible, assuring of continuous support of his administration to investors in the state.
He called on other investors that are yet to invest in the State to do , stressing that his administration would provide conducive environment for their business to thrive.
