‘Give Uzodimma Second Term to Midwife Imo Charter of Equity’

A stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Imo State, Mr. Uche Obiozor has thrown his weight behind the re-election of Governor Hope Uzodimma in next week’s gubernatorial election,  stating that the Imo State charter of equity guarantees fairness and equity for the three zones of the state.

Obiozor in an interview in Owerri, the Imo State capital, noted that the usual wrangling among politicians in the zones during electoral period that had brought bad blood and discomfort would be a thing of the past when the charter is implemented.

He observed that  easy power shift to another zone is dependent on the people’s ability to kick-start the principles of the charter starting from 2023 which would mark the actual beginning of the charter from Orlu zone to Owerri zone and thereafter to Okigwe zone with seamless handover.

Obiozor, who hails from the Obiozor dynasty, Awo-Omamma in Oru East Local Government of Orlu zone believes that the parameter to determine which zone the next governorship would come from depends on the zone that works hard to implement the charter to succeed starting from the November 11, 2023 guber election.

According to him,  when it comes to the charter of equity, the governor would stick to the zones for support. At this time the Orlu zone would be interested to make sure other zones benefit, and another factor would be the zone to implement the flag-off of the charter of equity.

He said that the governor would like to stick to the zone outside Orlu that is able to give him support for his second term as governor, noting that such  idea of where power shifts lies on this November 11 election.

“If you don’t give us vote we cannot go with you because it is a matter of show us love and we give it back in return,” he said.

Obiozor reminded the Imo people that Governor Uzodimma is seeking re-election and “we are supporting him because he has done well in terms of infrastructural development  such as quality road network, improved educational system, health care, civil service rebranding, security and a lot more.”

He therefore, enjoined Imolites to come out on November 11and vote massively to governor Hope Uzodimma for a seamless charter of equity implementation in the State.
