Sporting Lagos, Pillars Match Holds Monday

The Nigeria Premier Football League matchday seven fixture between Sporting Lagos and Kano Pillars has been postponed.

The match which was earlier scheduled for tomorrow at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, will now be held on Monday, October 6, at the same venue.

Sporting Lagos announced that the rescheduling was due to an unforeseen time conflict at the stadium.

The modest club have decided to throw the gate open for fans to come and support the team.

Sporting Lagos will face the former Nigeria Premier Football League champions for the first time in their history.

Paul Offor’s side occupy ninth position on the table with eight points.

Meanwhile, Offor has expressed delight with his players’ character in their 2-1 away defeat to Kwara United at the Kwara State Sports Complex on Wednesday, which was the team’s second away defeat at the on Wednesday.
