Oil Magnate, Tunde Afolabi’s Grateful Heart at 73

What words would be written, what accolades would be more suitable to a man whose life is of divine influence to many?

For many, November 5 of every year is like any ordinary day in their lives. It has no significant meaning to them. They neither look forward to its coming nor mark the day with any fanfare.

But this is not so for Nigerian businessman and oil mogul, Chief  Tunde Afolabi, Chairman and CEO of AMNI International,  an independent indigenous oil and gas exploration and production company.

For him, the day is always worth celebrating, as it signifies the beginning of his earthly sojourn.

Mercifully,  this year, Afolabi would clock 73.  For a man of his stature, many would expect that he would roll out the drums for the special day. But Society Watch has gathered that the top oil shot would not toe that line this time around. Close sources hinted that Afolabi would rather want a low-key event.

Besides, it was gathered that he would prefer to commit his God-given wealth to lifting more indigent members of the society, in addition to organising a special prayer, on the occasion. His life has always been about prayers.

For him, one thing is sure, the man would be celebrated to high heavens today.  It will not be surprising that every form of commendation and eulogy would be literally poured on him by those who have encountered him.

Like a colossus, he stands heads and shoulders above his peers. Some even see him as sensational of sorts.  Despite this, the influential businessman has refused to relax in his comfort zone; rather, he is aiming for the skies and ready to conquer his world. Perhaps, this is the reason some describe him as an evolving phenomenon.
