Chemstar Group CEO Establishes, Donates School to Church

The Chief Executive Officer of Chemstar Group, manufacturer of Finecoat and Shield Paints, and other paint allied products, Dr. Emmanuel Awode has built and donated a one-storey school structure to the Galilee Land City Headquarters of Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide (CSMC), Orile-Igbon, Oyo State.
The Galilee Primary and Secondary School project worth several millions of naira, under the Remi Awode Foundation (RAF), is part of his contribution to enhance the education of the children and a push for human capital development of people in the area.
The keys, building plan, structural design and other documents of the new school were handed over to the leadership of the church, led by the Chairman and spiritual father of Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide, Dr. Samuel Adefila Abidoye, during the inauguration and dedication ceremony, at the just concluded 2023 conference and convention of the church.
In his remarks themed ‘Vision and Mission Behind the School Building Project and Handing Over’, Awode said the school project was borne out of his passion and determination to ensure that the students have a befitting learning environment and acquire quality education.
Awode, who is the pioneer Chairman of Galilee Land Development Committee between 2021 and 2015, stated that he is a strong believer in the dream and vision of Galilee Land City, as championed by the chairman.
“The best legacy that parents and government could bequeath to the children or younger ones is quality education. The magnificent school building complex that comprises the Galilee Land Primary and Secondary School is an attestation to the belief in that vision and support of the carrier of the Galilee Land City vision, who is Baba Aladura Dr. Samuel Abidoye, the Chairman and Spiritual Father of Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide.
The chief executive officer explained that the need to have a school in the 21st century, an age of knowledge-driven economy, at the Galilee Land City, established about 13 years ago, has become imperative given the pivotal and critical role education plays in the life and development of individuals, and particularly as a fulcrum of national growth.
He said: “through the school we will be able to offer our children quality education required for their overall growth and development. The state-of-the-art school complex, consists of 14 classrooms, principal’s office, head-teacher’s office, staff offices, pupils and teachers’ furniture, modern instructional materials, as well as modern conveniences for both students and teachers.”
The Contractor and Chief Executive Officer of Aarob Construction Limited, Chief Babatunde Adetona, noted that the project, which foundation was laid in January, took eight months to be completed and delivered with all necessary facilities, fittings and furniture.
According to him, the ground floor of seven classrooms with the head-teacher’s office, staff offices will house the primary school section, while the upper floor also consisting of seven classrooms, principal’s office, staff offices, is for the secondary school section.
Each of the 14 classrooms equipped with modern facilities and instructional materials, such as white boards and furniture, will contain 20 students per class.
Whileunveiling the school project, Abidoye, who expressed delight that the age-long dream of having a school established in the Galilee Land City had finally come to reality, commended Awode and RAF for bringing such an everlasting joy to his heart.
He said education has been the priority project of his dream for the city, even as he described education as the only meaningful legacy that could be bequeathed to the children and younger ones.
