Elegant Eleganza shines at Lagos International Trade Fair
Nigeria’s foremost indigenous company, Eleganza Industrial City Limited, again proves the leader in the manufacrturing of household items as its highly sought after products are cynosure of eyes at the ongoing Lagos International Trade Fair, holding at the mainbow of Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Onikan, Lagos.
The captivating pavilion, with array of products, is led by the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the company, Dr. Shade Okoya, MON and other top management staff, an attestation that indeed, the foremost industry spanning over five decades is a master.
Chairman of the company, Chief Rasak Okoya, had a moment with media men on Thursday, November 9th, 2023.
On ground with him were President of the Lagos State Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Michael Olawale-Cole; Vice President LCCI, Abimbola Olashore, the MD/CEO, Shade Okoya, among others.
Eleganza brought on stand in and outside of the pavilion about 200 products for the pick of their customers. They included plastic furniture specifically named ‘Oba chair” that is though plastic but elegant in sight and touch.
Other products included household equipment and materials such as coolers, Purex dush washing liquid among others
In a paper obtained at the pavilion, Chief Okoya speaks about the need to develop the Nigerian youth through aggressive job creation, citing his venturing into creation of industrial cities with intent to do more while encouraging others to key into same.
“We need to instil a sense of pride and dignity through respectable labour in our youth. The creation of varied and sustainable industrial cities will be pivotal in the national stimulation of progress” he said.
President of the LCCI, Olawale-Cole, commended the contribution of Eleganza Industrial City to the development of manufacturing sector of the Nigerian economy.
For the workaholics Mrs. Shade Okoya, since the leadership mantle fell on her, she has turned the company around.
Her talent endowments have been activated to peak performance by her responsibilities at Eleganza Groups. She set a record in the company by producing over 300,000 cartons of the company’s flagship product in a month and consistently achieving over 100 percent of monthly production target for over five years , reducing the production of waste level and losses from over 2.5 per cent to less than 0.5% without compromising Quality standards and GMP practices, reducing overall factory running and plant maintenance expenses by over 45% and at the same time maintaining high efficiency through strategic optimization.
Two of the customers who spoke to journalist about Eleganza exploits praised the company for its quality, standard and consistency. According to Mrs Okeke Anurika Marbel, whose company – Toojah Investment – is a distributor of Eleganza’s plastic chairs of all types, and Salawat Okoya, whose company- G Okoya Ventures – is distributor of Eleganza’s coolers of all types.
Both distributors said working with Eleganza Industrial City Limited is gratifying and has no equal as it pays with huge economic benefits and dignity. “For a company that have remained at the top of its game for more than 50 years deserve accolade.
