APC’s Ododo Wins Kogi Governorship Election

All Progressives Congress governorship candidate, Usman Ododo, has been declared winner of the November 11 governorship election in Kogi State.

Ododo polled 446,237 votes, to defeat his closest rival, Murtala Ajaka of the Social Democratic Party, who garnered 259,052 votes. 

Dino Melaye of the Peoples Democratic Party scored 46,362 votes.

He  was declared winner of the election by the State Returning Officer, Prof Johnson Urama, Sunday night.

INEC had earlier announced that fresh polls will be conducted in some polling units in the Ogori/Magongo Local Government Area of the state on November 18. He was declared winner because the number of registered voters in the areas where fresh polls will be held was less than the margin of victory between Ododo and Ajaka
