Breaking: Uzodinma Leads in Imo, Set to be Declared Winner

Governor Hope Uzodinma of the All Progressives Congress has won the governorship election in the Local Government Areas of the state, according to the results announced at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) State Collation Centre in Owerri Sunday morning.

His closest rivals, the candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP),  Sam Anyanwu, and Labour Party, Athan Achonu, are trailing behind with huge margins. INEC State Collection Centre in Owerri has gone on a short break and will resume to do the final collation, after which the state Returning Officer for the election, Prof. Abayomi Fasina, will declare the winner of the election.
