EL-Amin University Announces Resumption Date for 2023/2024 Session
EL-Amin University, Minna, Niger State has announced the resumption date for the 2023/2024 academic session. It said the first semester is to commence on Monday, November 20, 2023.
A statement by the institution said the semester will last for 18 weeks, with the arrival and orientation of students scheduled to hold from November 16-21, 2023.
It stated that lectures will last for five weeks before the break for Christmas and New Year on Friday, December 22 and that lectures will resume on January 2, 2024.
According to the statement, mid-semester tests would hold from Monday, January 22 to Saturday, January 27, 2024.
Matriculation for students is scheduled for February 22, 2024, while the first semester examination will commence on March 18, and end on April 7, 2024, afterwhich the university will go on first semester break on March 30, 2024.
The statement also announced that lectures for the second semester will commence on April 8, 2024 and run for eight weeks, before mid-semester tests start from Monday June 3, 2024. It stated that second semester examinations will hold from July 29 to August 10, 2024.
EL-Amin University is one of the 37 new private universities recently issued operating licenses by the National Universities Commission (NUC), Abuja.
The institution is backed by El-Amin Nigeria Limited, with retired General Ibrahim Babangida as the Chairman, Board of Trustees.
The university is run with a vision of raising a new generation of leaders for the African continent. “We are doing this on a holistic, human development and integrated learning curriculum to raise graduates who will develop their world,” the statement added.
