Ekiti North PDP Senatorial Candidate in February Election, Funso Ayeni Losses Mother

The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the February senatorial contest in Ekiti North and erstwhile Head of Trade and Consumer Marketing at Nigerian Breweries, Funso Ayeni has lost his mother, Chief (Mrs) Ayeni Victoria Yewande (Née Ibitoye).

She was said to have died on Tuesday night at the age of 83.

The head of Ayeni family at Ilamo Ekiti, in Ikole Local Government, HRM Kabiyesi Oba paul Awoseyila , the Alamo of ilamo confirmed the news in a statement.

The deceased, who was a community and religious leader during her life time was survived by her children, grandchildren, and other family members.

The statement read, “The mother of Funso Ayeni, the Peoples Democratic Party’s Senatorial candidate for Ekiti North in February election, Chief (Mrs) Victoria Yewande Ayeni (Née Ibitoye) is dead,”

She died peacefully on Tuesday night. Mama was 83 years.

“She is survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other family members. Further announcements will be made by the family in due course.”

She lived in Ikole Ekiti, the headquarters of Egbe Oba land until her death.
