Nollywood Agog As Drink Premieres December 3, Hits Cinemas December 8

Nollywood is currently agog for the forthcoming world premiere of Drink, the star-studded movie, currently serenading the entire industry.
The star-studded flick, which was produced and painstakingly directed by cerebral Nigerian filmmaker, Victor Okere, is sensationally set to premiere amid glitz, glamour and grandeur on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at the upscale Blue Pictures Cinemas, City Mall, Onikan, Lagos. It will ultimately hit cinemas nationwide and globally on Friday, December 8.
In a chat with us ahead of the talk-of-the-town evening premiere of Drink, amiable and soft-spoken Okere, said movie buffs and fans of quality films from Nollywood should: “Get ready for an intoxicating cinematic experience. Drink invites you into a world where every sip holds a secret, and every moment is a revelation. As the night unfolds, join us on a journey that explores the depths of desire, mystery, and the unexpected twists that life serves in every glass. Drink is more than a movie; it’s an immersive adventure that will leave you thirsting for more. The time is 7 pm and the venue is, The City Mall, Lagos Island, Lagos. Your presence will add a touch of elegance to this cinematic affair. Dress code: Chic and glamorous. We look forward to celebrating this cinematic masterpiece with you!” he stated.
Meanwhile, the anticipated A-list gathering is expected to be graced by heavyweights from Nollywood, as well as other VIPs from different walks of life.
Elaborating more on the synopsis of the big budget film, which was shot on locations within and outside Lagos and its environs, elated Okere hinted further: “Olumide, which was professionally played by ladies man, Alex Ekubo and Anuli Roberts, exceptionally interpreted by sexy Nancy Isime, are newly married and just back from their honeymoon when Olumide begins to have frequent incidents of drunkenness. Anuli is hurt and disappointed. Theirs had been a whirlwind romance and barely months into their relationship despite warnings from family and friends, which they dismissed as discriminatory and baseless, they had gotten married. Now she feels that she is married to a stranger and has mixed feelings about their marriage, thus begins the real conflict in their turbulent union.”
Nollywood stars such as Alex Ekubo, Nancy Isime, Stephnora Okere, Zack Orji, Nosa Rex, Jibola Dabo, Vincent Opurum, Uche Montana, Samira Fashina, Ola Olasope, Bimbo Peters, Onwudi Andrew, Amos Ndubueze, Toju Peters, Eleazu Texas and several others dazzled and thrilled fans in this new film that would be a delight for film enthusiasts to watch and applaud, starting from December 8.
Okered added: “As a meticulous and passionate filmmaker, the research work on this movie project spanned several years alongside many trips within and outside our shores. When finally out on December 8, Drink, will redefine and reshape the ways we tell our stories and make quality movies in Nollywood. It’s my latest contribution to the growth and global expansion of our dear Nollywood.”
The drink is from the award-winning and wave-making stable of Pandavic Productions. It was written by Remi Ibilola and is being marketed at the cinemas by Blue Pictures Film Distributions.
