SROL Partners NGO, Offers Medical Intervention to Osun communities

No fewer than 1200 Persons in Osun state communities have benefitted from a medical outreach put together by Segilola Resources Operating Limited (SROL), in collaboration with Living Hope Care Foundation. 

The gesture was part of SROL’s commitments at ensuring the wellness of its host communities’ dwellers. 

Beneficiaries of the outreach selected across Iperindo, Odo-Ijesha and Imogbara all in were provided with access to free diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions, as well as optical care.  Also provided were surgical, obstetrical, and gynecological services depending on individual condition. 

Speaking, SROL Human Resources Manager, Mr. Seun Fagesi described the gesture as a beacon of hope to benefitting communities, stressing the company’s passion to health and wellness. 

He said, “This outreach demonstrates our unwavering commitment to enhancing the well-being of our communities. Just  few weeks ago, we empowered our youth by providing them with essential tools and resources. We have also been sponsoring scholarship programmes as SROL strives to enhance the standard and quality of life in our host communities.”

According to him, a total of 1,200 cases were attended to, which  included 112 optical cases, 78 surgical procedures ranging from minor to supra-major, 12 life-threatening emergencies as well as seven new tuberculosis diagnoses. This he said further highlight the need of the community and impact of the exercise. 

Moreso, Medical Services Manager at SROL, Princewill Osuchukwu disclosed plans to extend the gesture to more communities in the state, adding that up to 500-1000 free surgeries will be delivered at  newly commissioned Daniel Awe Memorial Medical Centre in Ilesha. 

In his remark, Olumolu of Imogbara, Oba Bamidele Olowookere said,  “We extend our gratitude to the people of Segilola for this intervention that we might not  have had access to”.
