Corps Member Unveils ‘High School King App to Address Mass Failure in JAMB

To minimise mass failure bedeviling many Nigerian students, especially in the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), a 25-year-old corps member, Ologunde Elisha, yesterday unveiled an app, ‘High School King, to bring succour to admission seekers.

The corps member serving in Lagos State said this is his way of giving back to society.

Ologunde who graduated from the Fine and Applied Art of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology in Osun State unveiled the App at Tinubu Hall, Adekunle Local Government, Lagos State.

Among the schools that attended the event was Lagos City Senior College under the Lagos State Education  District IV.

In his welcome address, the Corps member said High School King  is a game for secondary school students to transform learning through gamification. According to him, “High School King is a transformative force for secondary school academics in Nigeria.

” The app employs cutting-edge features to engage students in their studies through gamification, reminiscent of the popular show “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire,” but tailored towards academics as a way of addressing the challenge of mass failure among students. “

On what motivated him, he said,” The App stems from the disconcerting statistics that only 27% of students scored above 200 in JAMB examinations. The High School King app aims to reverse this trend by providing an innovative and enjoyable way for students to enhance their academic knowledge.”

The Guest Speaker, a tech expert and Chief Executive Officer of Ogaranya Solution Technology, said the App signifies the power of innovation and dedication to addressing critical issues in education.

” The app offers state-of-the-art features that use gamification to get students interested in learning.

” As Elisha continues his journey as a corps member, the High School King app stands as a beacon of hope for transforming the educational landscape in Nigeria.”
