Three months after it had been on recess, Ondo State Deputy Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, is expected to preside over the state Executive Council Meeting slated for today, November 30.

The notice of meeting was contained in a document title, “Mr. Governor’s Engagement Thursday, 30th November, 2023”, from the office of the Chief of Protocol, Mr Bola Alabi.

This comes barely a week after President Bola Tinubu  made a bold intervention to stop the political impasse in the State that trailed the ill-health of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, his absence from the state and the impeachment process against Aiyedatiwa.

Specifically, the meeting is expected to be  held behind  closed doors as the media have not been permitted to cover it.

The last Exco meeting in the state was held on August 14, 2023 when Aiyedatiwa was the acting governor.

However, since Governor Akeredolu’s return to Nigeria on September 7,  he has been living and working from Ibadan, a decision which has attracted criticism.
