Music Fashion Runway 9th Edition Holds December 2

Pan African Music Fashion Runway, known as Nigeria’s most influential fashion brand, is set to hold its 9th edition on Saturday, December 2nd at the Naval Dockyard, Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island Lagos from 7 pm.
Popular as a cultural showcase platform blending contemporary Pan African designers, international runway models, and cutting-edge fashion with live music excellence, the annual event is simply a celebration of rich African cultural heritage.
In its 9th milestone year, the successful fashion and cultural platform celebrates and showcases cultural heritage in Pan African fashion and design and arts, film and media, recognising the significant contribution trailblazers and pioneers have in the development of the creative industry across the Continent and beyond.
Tagged, “Empowering The Creative/Corporate Mix To Align Infrastructural Development And Growth In Creative and Entertainment Sector”, this year’s edition will witness international designers, cutting-edge African fashion and international runway models alongside awards presentations.
It will also feature the Game Changer Africa 2023 Acknowledgement, an award platform that will honour trailblazers and pioneers recognising their significant contribution to the creative industry.
According to the Managing Director /Chief Executive Officer, NMO Management Limited and PanAfrican Music Fashion Runway Platform, Dr Ngozi Omambala, the theme for this year’s edition, “ is about empowering the corporate creative mix.
“We need to protect and create an infrastructure that protects the people within it. We need to upscale attract the investment to our sector. And we need some kind of like formalised standardisation to move it forward so that it can grow and grow properly”, she noted.
According to her, the creative and entertainment sector has gone through seismic changes to become a force of nature.
“Growth has been unprecedented, yet its infrastructure development lags behind, exposing weaknesses and vulnerabilities of young creatives seeking to carve out cares without support or protection”, she noted.
Omambala who said that the event would entail live music performance as well as international runway modelling, added, “The show will also select two upcoming models that would be allowed to kick start their modelling career by walking the MFR 2023 catwalk.”
