Issues affecting brands’ scalability and their chances in global market are some of the focal points of discussion at the forthcoming ‘Nigeria Brands week’, holding in Lagos.
The Institute of Brands Management of Nigeria, (IBMN), which is the organisers of the event decried low visibility of Nigeria’s brands in global society, stating that the programme would address these through the great minds and industry players who will be speaking at the event on December 15.
Chief Editorial Officer of African Brands, Desmond Esorougwe, who revealed the theme of the programme as: ‘Positioning Nigerian Brands in the Contemporary Global Market; issues, challenges and strategies’ said it was designed to reposition local brands and enhance their visibility globally.
He disclosed that on the sidelines of the programme, there would be the Nigeria Brands Summit, National Brands Excellence & Leadership Award, NABELA, Made in Nigeria Brands Exhibition, Nigeria Brands CEO Awards and the conferment of Honourary Fellowship and Induction.
He said, “NABELA is the celebration of proudly made in Nigeria products and services which aims to reward and recognise brands that adopt brand building mechanism to grow their business. Moreover, the ‘Made in Nigeria Brands’ Exhibition is directed at promoting Nigeria brands in a marketplace.”
