Governments and well meaning individuals have been asked to collaborate and do more for society in terms of food security in Africa in order to drive hunger and crime away.

The call was made by the Founder of Paddy Foundation, an entrepreneur and a philanthropist, Dr. Emmanuel Iyamu, during a session at the United Kingdom House of Lords during the week.

Iyamu while noting that there is so much hunger and pain in the society, stressed the need for well meaning individuals to collaborate with governments to provide food for the poor.

He further said: “We can have a safe and sane society devoid of insecurity and evil vices, when there is provision of food.”

Iyamu, who spoke with so much hope and filled with optimism, promised to be a symbol of hope to younger generations through dedication to mentorship, particularly through his foundation.

Iyamu, who was recently conferred with a prestigious professional doctorate in leadership and management by the City University of Paris as his influence resonates across the academic and business communities, and for inspiring a new generation of leaders and thinkers, said the award will motivate him to do more for humanity.

He said: “The conferment is a testament to the unwavering commitment to scholarly excellence, academic dedication, enterprenural spirit and significant contributions to the field across international borders as well as their impact in the society.”

He explained that: “Evening with Dr. Paddy initiative is a commitment to empowering youths financially and through mentorship. The initiative is a testament to my belief in nurturing the next generation of leaders and scholars, making a significant impact on numerous lives.”
