…As school appoints young Indian as board member
The General Overseer of Christ Embassy, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, has held his first meeting as the Chancellor of Weldios University in Republic of Benin, with his board members.
This has indicated that the clergyman has begun a new and interesting service to the humanity at the new university after he was conferred with the prestigious title of University Chancellor and Head of Government/Chairman of Institution.
Oyakhilome was represented at the meeting by his young, son, Dr. Desmond Oyakhilome, who was also present at the conferment of Chancellorship status on his father.
After the closed-door meeting, Desmond, while briefing journalists, said: ” It’s yet another recognition of the invaluable service to the body of Christ, in particular, and humanity in general of Rev. Dr. Chris Oyakhilome, who has continued to impact lives positively in various sectors.
“This is another call to service, and to the glory of God, those who chose him have seen his numerous humanitarian works and are convinced he is fit for the honor bestowed on him.”
The senior Oyakhilome is set to be working with a team of young, vibrant and dynamic board members, among whom is 43-year-old Indian, Dr. Kirti Sudhanshu, also known as Koki.
Sudhanshu is the founder and CEO of Kirti’s Kare Foundation, Lagos, a humanitarian foundation that cares and provides for the less privileged.
His appointment made it the first time in Nigeria that a young Indian lady would be on the board of a private university and of course, Weldios University.
