Executive Diamonds Ladies Conclude End-of-Year Get-Together with Renewed Energy and Purpose

The Executive Diamonds Ladies hosted their inaugural annual end-of-year get-together themed: Reconnect, Reset & Recharge at Maison Fahrenheit, Victoria Island, Lagos. The event brought together Executive Diamonds Ladies members and non-members from across industries to celebrate their accomplishments, network with each other, and recharge for the year ahead, 2024.

Speaking at the event, the EDWO Alumni Chairperson, Head of Technical, Stanbic IBTC Insurance Limited, Funmi Ogunbiyi, said “This year’s get-together was an opportunity for us to come together as a community to reflect on the past year and set our intentions for the next. It is an avenue to reconnect with old friends and make new ones. We are so grateful for the support and camaraderie of our members, and we are excited to continue making a positive impact in the EDWO community. I am so proud of all that we have accomplished so far, and I am excited to see what we will achieve in the coming year.’’

The event kicked off with a keynote address by the Convener of EDWO, Managing Director Redwood Consulting, Hannah Oyebanjo, who spoke about the importance of self-care and resilience in achieving corporate and individual goals. She further buttressed that female executives are very crucial to the progress of any organisation, it takes a well-balanced, cool collected, and psychologically fit lady to deliver her role efficiently in an organisation. She said, ‘‘EDWO is committed to providing its members with the resources and support they need to achieve their full potential. The organization offers a variety of programs and services, including Leadership development opportunities, Networking events, Mentorship programs, and Professional development workshops’’.

The organization’s annual get-together is a testament to the power of women coming together to support and empower each other. The event highlights include Executive Diamonds Meet & Greet, 2023 personal goal reviews, 2024 Business Outlook, positioning for 2024, special fireside talks by industry leaders, fun, music, and games.
