As Miss Universe Nigeria, Mitchel Ihezue Weds Nicholas Ukachukwu

For the current Miss Universe Nigeria, Mitchel Ihezue, it’s a new season, a new beginning, and a new dawn, following her recent engagement to businessman and former House of Representatives member, Nicholas Ukachukwu. The beauty queen made this known while sharing the news of her introduction. “Introduction Done,” she wrote on her Instagram page.

Imo born Mitchel, who emerged Miss Universe Nigeria (2023), announced her engagement days before the introduction ceremony which took place December 5.  The event, which marks a significant step towards their marriage, was captured in videos and pictures trending on social media. Mitchel and her fiancé, known simply as Prince, were seen in traditional outfits, looking dapper and stunning.

The relationship between both has been a topic of interest recently, especially after Mitchel hinted at her upcoming wedding. Initially secretive about her partner’s identity, she eventually revealed her fiancée, the billionaire CEO of SNECOU Group Ltd, sparking widespread discussion online due to their age difference. She is reported to be 27 years old, while Prince 57. Ukachukwu was married, but lost his wife in a car accident in 2020.

The visual artist Mitchel was crowned the ‘Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria’ in 2017. She represented Nigeria at the ‘Miss World’ beauty pageant in the same year.  Mitchel was in the top 40 and also earned the title of ‘Miss World Top Model 2017’ in the global pageant. In September, she was crowned the winner of the Miss Universe Nigeria 2023 pageant.
