Laffmattazz Records Huge Success with ‘Lagos Again’
On Sunday, November 26, 2023, the Balmoral Centre on Victoria Island, Lagos, played host to the electrifying Lagos Again edition of Gbenga Adeyinka D 1st’s Laffmattazz train. Sponsored by Maltina and backed by the Lagos State government, the Ministry of Arts, Culture and Tourism, the seven-hour comedy and music extravaganza treated over 3,500 guests to a night of laughter and entertainment.
A total of 33 entertainers, a mix of rising stars and seasoned acts, graced the Laffmattazz stage, including Damola, MC Lozy, Prince Phelar, MC 90s, MC Stylo, and Ashny who performed earlier on the show. The event kicked off with a grand entry of Adeyinka after an introduction by his ally, Omobaba 1.
The highlight of the show was the performances of Tuface Idibia, Ruggedman, and Fuji veteran Adewale Ayuba.
An overwhelmed Adeyinka expressed gratitude to sponsors and attendees, emphasizing the massive support from the Lagos State government, with Honourable Commissioner Mrs. Toke Benson-Awoyinka leading a robust team to the event.
“What I felt was even higher than ‘over happiness’ if there’s anything like that in the dictionary. There is nothing more gratifying than planning an event and having everything fall into place, I am overjoyed,” Adeyinka expressed. “The support from the Lagos State government was massive. The Honourable Commissioner Mrs Toke Benson-Awoyinka led a robust team to our event while the Speaker Rt. Hon Obasa led the legislatures and also the LSDPC boss, Mr Ayo Joseph, who supported.”
Notable dignitaries at the event include foremost Nigerian industrialist, Chief Razak Okoya and his beloved wife, Dr Sade Okoya, Kenny Keke Ogungbe and ID Ogungbe.
