Adejumo Assumes Office as Precious Cornerstone University’s VC

A professor of Agric/Environmental Microbiology and Biotechnology, Timothy Adejumo, has resumed as the second Vice-Chancellor of the Precious Cornerstone University, Ibadan.

Adejumo, while speaking at his unveiling, held at the temporary site of the university and performed by the Chancellor, Bishop Francis Wale Oke, assured of leveraging on the foundations laid by the chancellor, the board of trustees, governing council, the former vice-chancellor, as well as the entire management in taking the institution to greater heights.

He assured of his commitment to fostering an environment that encourages the integration of knowledge and faith, nurturing minds and souls alike, stating that together, they will foster an environment that encourages learning, critical thinking and holistic development.

“Let us work hand in hand to embrace the opportunities and the challenges that lie ahead of us. With collective effort, I am confident that we shall achieve new heights of success in education, research, and service to our community and contribute meaningfully to the realms of education and research.”

Oke, the National President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), charged the new vice-chancellor to be open to ideas that can move the school forward, stating that the university rests upon two pillars: academic excellence and spiritual foundation.
