Bolt Offers Fuel Subsidy Bonus to Support Drivers in Lagos, Abuja
As part of its continued support to help drivers earn more, Bolt, Nigeria’s leading ride-hailing platform, has kicked off a fuel subsidy bonus campaign for drivers in Lagos and Abuja.
In a statement it was noted that the campaign is first of its kind in the ride-hailing sector to help drivers cushion the effect of the increasing fuel prices.
The statement stated that the campaign is set to run all through the month of December, during which drivers receive a fuel subsidy bonus worth up to NGN 10,000 every week upon completing 50 trips.
The statement noted that the campaign has recorded wide participation among drivers in Lagos and Abuja with over 6000 drivers set to earn up to NGN 40,000 at the end of the campaign across both cities.
Speaking on the campaign, Country Manager for Bolt Nigeria, Yahaya Mohammed, said: “This is part of our long-standing commitment to support our driver-partners and ensure that they continue to thrive. Drivers are at the core of our business, and we want to see them succeed and grow their earnings. The increasing fuel prices in the country is one of the motivations behind the campaign to support our driver-partners. We understand the current economic situation and as always, we are committed to help our driver-partners earn more.
“At Bolt, we continue to make drivers central to our business and do not take their commitment for granted in a competitive marketplace. We are excited to see that thousands of drivers are already benefiting from this amazing opportunity and we hope many more will complete 50 weekly trips and earn extra.”
This is not the first intervention campaign for drivers by the e-hailing giant in 2023. In September, Bolt launched the “Drive for a Prize Challenge” in Nigeria to support drivers with various prizes, from home appliances to mobile phones to brand new TVs, amongst others.
