Chrisland Students Win AISEN  Maths Contest

Chrisland School has emerged winner of the 2023 Association of International School Educators of Nigeria (AISEN) Mathematics competition. 

It secured top honours in academics as a demonstration of its excellence.

The students, Ikoojo Idachaba and Omotayo Oseni, clinched the top spot in the Mathematics competition, outshining 13 international schools in the primary school key stage two category.

Also, Miss Lois Akere and Somkene Somtochukwu emerged the first runner-up position in the secondary schools, key stage three category, solidifying their reputation as Mathematics whizes.

Chrisland also came tops at the AISEN national debate competition (regional level) held at Grange School on November 18, when the debaters secured first place in the key stage two and stage four categories.

They also clinched the third position in the key stage three category, highlighting the school’s commitment to fostering academic and speaking excellence.

Topics debated were: Key Stage 2: ‘School uniforms should not be mandatory for students’; Key Stage 3: ‘Reality TV is harming society’;  Key Stage 4: ‘Legal systems should focus more on rehabilitation than punishment’.

Achieving another milestone, the school’s soccer team emerged victorious, securing the prestigious 2023 AISEN soccer trophy after a thrilling and tension-filled match that ended with a dramatic penalty shootout at Corona Secondary School, Agbara.

The Managing Director of Chrisland Schools, Mrs. Ibironke Adeyemi, expressed excitement about the success saying that the feat solidifies Chrisland’s position not only as academic champions, but also as formidable contenders in the sports arena. She emphasised its commitment towards nurturing well- rounded global leaders who excel academically, exhibit discipline, and shine in sports.

“The vision set by the founder 47 years ago continues to guide us on this path of excellence,” she said, adding that it has been a season of joy and celebration for the school.
