The consistent outstanding performances of Premiere Academy’s Final year students in major terminal and university entrance examinations over the years have continued to spur greater interest and focus on the school’s products by international education authorities.
This includes public universities of American and European countries, who prioritise attracting the best performers from across the world for their undergraduate programmes.
This was highlighted with the recent visit to the school by high-powered teams of officials from leading US Higher Education Facilitation and Recruitment Agency, EDUCATIONUSA, and Canada’s leading public university, the Wilfrier Laurier University.
US Embassy’s Public Diplomacy Officer and Facilitator of EDUCATIONUSA, Kathryn Suwa, in an interactive session with final year students of the school, described the programme as a very significant avenue to help the best of Nigerian talents to assess educational opportunities in the United States.
She commended the leadership profile of Premiere Academy which reflects consistently in the brilliant academic feats of its students and revealed that the EDUCATIONUSA team’s visit was to offer guidance to those of them seeking to study in the United States to help them make informed decisions about their academic and career paths.
She also assured them of the readiness of the US Embassy to assist them in the visa application process, providing guidance on the requirements and procedures for obtaining a U.S. student visa so as to ensure they can navigate the visa application process smoothly.
“This interactive session offers an opportunity for accurate and comprehensive information about U.S. higher education institutions, academic programmes, admission requirements, and standardized tests. The embassy is also available to collaborate with the school via English language programmes to help students enhance their language proficiency, which is a crucial aspect for success in U.S. academic environments”, she submitted.
In a related development, representatives of Wilfrier Laurier University, a top Canadian public university that has over 20,000 students and offers over 150 undergraduate and graduate programmes in a variety of disciplines, with campuses in Waterloo, Brantford, and Milton, have conducted a scholarship webinar with final year students of the school.
The webinar’s objective, according to the University representatives, was to present the students with information on how to assess the $40,000 CAD Scholarship which is on offer for the 2023/2024 Academic session.
The WLU team expressed delight at the general organisation of the Premiere Academy campus, noting that the quality of the infrastructure, curriculum and diversity of students profile meet the standards of a world-class learning institution anywhere in the globe.
Speaking on the visits, Premiere Academy’s Director, Academics & Administration, Mr. Chris Akinsowon, restated the School’s commitment to the vision of fostering impactful relationships and partnerships with the best global institutions in the bid to ensure its products compete with the best anywhere in the world.
“We believe that education in the 21st century should be practical, immersive, hands-on and empowering for the future greatness of our students. Our commitment to this vision is evident in our diverse offerings, ranging from cutting-edge technology like Robotics, Coding, 3D Printing, Animation and Virtual Reality to the captivating world of Astronomy and the realm of Artificial Intelligence.
“Our students go through the academic journey here as a Launchpad for dreams, a crucible of discovery and a nurturing space where intellectual growth, cultural enrichment and the drive to compete globally as architects of tomorrow’s world, where technology and innovation converge to shape progress and impact thrive”, he stated.
