The Metropolitan and Senior Pastor of House On The Rock Church, Paul Adefarasin, has expressed hopes amid prevailing socio-economic challenges in the country.

Adefarasin who was speaking at the 18th edition of the ‘Experience” concert in Lagos, recently, noted that the year’s programme aimed at relief and restoration as depicted in the theme.

Themed, ‘Jesus Our Way Maker’ Adefarasin said the concert symbolises a beacon of hope that defy feelings of hopelessness and desolation.

He said, ” The theme for this year has deep significance viewed against the backdrop of a very tumultuous and challenging year, marked by severe socio-economic hardship and insecurity in the nation Nigeria.

“We know that as our praises rise as an offering to the only one who can turn things around for us, his blessings will distil in divine intervention alighting like the morning dew upon us, our nation, and our shared future.”

Stating that the journey of ‘Experience’ was defined by faith, unity, collaboration, the cleric disclosed that the idea has advanced into a counterculture that aspires to bring heaven down to earth within the reach of humanity.

“The time has come for the body of Christ to intentionally nurture an unrelenting commitment to the common good through persuasive media including music and film,” Adefarasin submitted.

The Tafawa Balewa Square venue of the programme was filled beyond capacity as Nigerians both home and abroad graced the concert liven by the scintillating performance of  world’s best gospel artistes.

Some of the performing artistes included Travis Greene, Naomi Raine, Nathaniel Bassey, Sinach, Dunsin Oyekan, Donnie McClurkin, William McDowell, Ada Ehi and Tim Godfrey.
