Spirit and soul-lifting worshiper, Diekololami Akinlua (Nee Ademuwagun), has emerged as a beacon in gospel music, breaking through the delusions of the industry.

Her Psalms and hymns brand is not just a fraction of her musical choice but a divine plan to globally revive spiritual songs, a mission she passionately embraces. On how she gets inspiration for her music she noted that, “I get sound from my sleep and it sticks to me even after I’m fully awake. Sometime during the study of the scripture and my quiet time I get my inspiration as well.”

Amidst her humble demeanor, Dieko’s award-winning vocal prowess has remained steadfast since she accepted the divine mandate. Her spirit-filled songs serve as a vessel, earnestly redirecting souls and endearing her to worshippers around the world. Stepping into the limelight in 2008 after winning a gospel music talent hunt, her journey soared.

The release of her debut album “Dieko” in 2011 featured industry heavyweights like Wole Oni, Flo, Materkraft, Patricia Uwaje-King, and Kenny K’ore, solidifying her position as a force in gospel music.

Through her spirit-filled songs, Dieko continues to impact and redirect souls, leaving an indelible mark in the gospel music industry. Beyond her musical prowess, her humanitarian spirit shines through her impactful philanthropy. From sponsoring the education of primary school students in rural Kwara State to empowering widows with culinary skills, she leaves a positive imprint on diverse communities. Her love extends to underprivileged children in orphanages across the country, showcasing a multifaceted dedication to uplifting lives. Expressing why she is so passionate about humanitarian services, the music minster shared that, “I suffered a lot growing up and being raised by a single mother of seven children which I’m the last. My mother became a widow and things were hard. That’s what birthed a compassion in me for widows and Orphans. By the Grace of God I have been able to keep this up over the years and I pray for the opportunities to continue doing this good works.”

Dieko, as she’s affectionately known, remains unwavering in her vocal prowess, earning accolades such as the Best Female Vocalist award at the Nigeria Gospel Music Awards.
