Firm Unveils Eco-friendly Initiative for Transport Sector

An indigenous project finance firm, Independent Capital, has unveiled an  ambitious project to champion an innovative green initiative aimed at supporting gas-powered vehicles in Nigeria, in the wake of fuel subsidy removal.

The  initiative is designed to support the nascent gas-powered vehicles ecosystem which are making their way into Nigeria’s transport sector.

With its electric vehicles (e-trike) which signal a significant move towards eco-conscious mobility, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Independent  Capital, Dr. 

George Nwangwu, said the company was committed to establishing a robust network of solar-powered charging infrastructure.

This is to support the operations of its e-trike fleet, adding that the innovative strategy not only tackles the obstacles associated with adopting electric vehicles but would also actively contribute to the establishment of a sustainable energy ecosystem.

In a statement made available to THISDAY, Nwangwu said his company’s strategic approach combines financial expertise with a profound understanding of environmental and social impact, positioning the firm as a catalyst for positive change in the country’s transportation sector.

According to him, it is aimed at a transformative leap towards sustainable transportation in the country.

He noted that the cornerstone of Independent Capital’s visionary plans involves the unbundling of its three-wheeler Electric Vehicle (e-trike) which signals a significant move towards eco-conscious mobility.
