Osborn Nweze steers La Palm resort towards international standard
Entrepreneur Osborn Nweze Umahi, popularly known as Osborn Nweze, has continued to prove that he is a man with the Midas touch as his Osborn La Palm Resort took off to a flying start. The son of David Umahi, the former Ebonyi State governor and present Minister of Works, Nweze is currently in the limelight due to the success of his Osborn La Palm Resort which has been a mecca of sorts for Nigeria’s business elites in the past three months.
A graduate of Surrey University in the United Kingdom, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Engineering in 2019, the 24-year-old businessman also bagged his master’s in Finance and Investment Management from Aberdeen University in 2022.
While he has served under his father’s tutelage and management of his father’s company, Brass Oil and Construction Limited, he, however, worked on his initiative, tried his hand independently at entrepreneurship and excelled in the hospitality industry since founding the five-star, Osborn La Palm Royal Resort.
Barely a year after it commenced operation, the Port Harcourt, Rivers State-based Osborn La Palm Royal Resort has become the biggest thing in the hospitality industry. The resort was in the news a few weeks ago when it was visited by one of Africa’s foremost billionaire businessmen and chairman of the Cubana Group Limited, Chief Dr. Obinna Iyiegbu, aka Obi Cubana.
Photos posted on Instagram also showed that leading comedian Ayo Makun, popularly known as AY and the CEO of Corporate World Entertainment, was among the dignitaries who patronised the resort recently. Other high-profile clients of the resort in recent weeks include Chief Emeka Okonkwo, aka E-Money, the Chairman of Five Star Group Limited and Dr. Kennedy Okonkwo, Africa’s biggest real estate mogul.
