‘Blood Vessel,’ the latest crime-thriller from Play Network Studio, has seized the spotlight by claiming the number one position on Netflix’s most-viewed chart. Boasting a staggering 4.4 million views within its inaugural week, the film’s remarkable success on Netflix takes centre stage, underscoring its widespread appeal and popularity among viewers.

Taking an unconventional approach, director Moses Inwang chose to set the cinematic stage in the oil-rich Nembe community in Bayelsa, Nigeria. This decision not only adds a unique flavour to the film but also showcases the use of the Ijaw language, infusing the narrative with a profound sense of authenticity.

The Netflix Original is written by Musa Jeffery David and parades a stellar lineup of producers including Arafat Bello-Osagie, Roxanne Adekunle-Wright, and Agozie Ugwu, guided by the season hand of the acclaimed executive producer Charles Okpaleke (CharlesofPlay), who has undoubtedly contributed to the film’s success.

Okpaleke is renowned for productions such as ‘Living In Bondage: Breaking Free,’ ‘RattleSnake,’ and ‘Nneka The Pretty Serpent,’ along with Nigeria’s first Nollywood game ‘Aki and Pawpaw: Epic Run.’
