Bauchi Education Summit: Jatau Hails Gov Mohammed’s Commitment to Educational Devt

The Bauchi State Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Mohammed Auwal Jatau, has congratulated the state Governor, Bala Mohammed, on the successful conduct of Education Summit which had the theme: ‘Improving Access and Quality Education in Bauchi State’.
In his message on the just-concluded education summit, which was held at the Sultan Saad Abubakar Hajj Camp in Bauchi, Jatau acknowledged the outstanding efforts and commitment of the governor towards the development of education in the state.
The deputy governor observed that Governor Mohammed’s commitment and support have made it possible for the summit to hold for the participants to discuss and chart a path for better future in education of the state.
He added that the summit was in line with the collective vision and priority of the governor to address the challenges in accessing quality education in the state by exploring innovative solutions aimed at enhancing access and quality of education, and expressed satisfaction at the level of energy, passion, and commitment exhibited by all participants during the two-day summit.
According to him, “Our governor has demonstrated unflinching commitment towards the development of education in Bauchi State by providing necessary support, investments, and resources to ensure that our education system is world-class standard.
“The governor has also shown a deep understanding of the critical role education plays in the economic and social development of our state. Our administration’s investment in improved infrastructure, provision of quality learning materials, and enhanced teacher training programs is a testament to the governor’s unwavering commitment to the development of education in our state.”
Jatau noted that education must be a transformative experience, equipping our children with essential skills, knowledge, and values necessary to thrive in the 21st century, and assured stakeholders that the present administration would continue to invest in education including in the professional development of teachers.
“As his deputy, the governor has recently assigned me with a responsibility of leading a high-powered committee to work out modalities of identifying the basic challenges affecting basic education in our state all in a bid to provide better education for all.
“We have conducted an assessment exercise to provide the committee with a unique opportunity to not only identify the key issues hindering effective learning in schools, but also to develop sustainable solutions that will set the state on a path towards educational excellence. I am therefore confident that, with the collective support of all stakeholders, the state government will revolutionise basic education system and give wings to the dreams of countless children in the state,” he said.
