Pa Ogbuefi Ejike Awgu for Burial January 12

The family of Late Ogbuefi Joseph Ejike Awgu of Obuluhu Village Isulo in Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra State has announced the burial arrangements for their patriarch who passed on September 6, 2023, at the age of 78. A statement by the deceased’s eldest son, Mr. John Chuks Awgu, said the Christian wake-keep will take place at his country home in Obuluhu Village Isulo on Thursday, January 11,2024. On Friday, January 12, his body will leave the mortuary at 8a.m. to his compound for lying in state, which will be followed by condolence visit by in-laws, friends and well wishers.

Funeral service will be conducted in his honour by Our Saviour’s Anglican Church Isulo, followed interment at his compound and reception. Condolences continues on Saturday. There will be an outing service on Sunday, January 14,at Our Saviour’s Anglican Church Isulo. The deceased, who was fondly called ‘Man of Peace’ by admirers, was survived by his second wife, children, grandchildren, relatives, amongst whom is Mrs. Ekene Blessing Ajunwa, wife of the News Editor, THISDAY on Saturday, Mr. Charles Ajunwa.
