Imo Police Assure of Watertight Security During Yuletide Season

The Imo State Commissioner of Police, Aboki Danjuma, rising from a crucial security meeting with strategic police managers in the state, yesterday assured of  watertight security across the state for the Yuletide season.


In a release, the Police Public Relations Officer, Henry Okoye, stated that those  in attendance at the security meeting which held at the Senior Officers Mess, Owerri, comprised Area Commanders; Divisional Police Officers and tactical team commanders.


He added that they all affirmed to work in  line with the Imo state command’s steadfast dedication to providing adequate security for all and sundry in the State
“During the meeting, contingency operational plans that will guarantee the peaceful celebration of Christmas and New Year across the length and breadth of the state as well as the smooth flow of traffic were strategically emplaced”, he stated.


Earlier in the month,  Danjuma has  assured   Imo residents and those in the diaspora wishing to return home for the festive seasons of their maximum safety and security.


He further enjoined them  to collectively work towards sustaining the peace and security in the state by being security conscious and reporting any suspicious person.
The CP further reiterated that the ban on the sale or use of firecrackers and pyrotechnics or  knockouts remained in place.
