NUC Visits James Hope Business School Ahead of January Start

James Hope Business School hosted a delegation from the National Universities Commission (NUC) on a resource verification exercise, as it prepares for the start of its Executive MBA programme in January 2024.

The Vice Chancellor of James Hope University Prof. Paul Vita, along with the Registrar Dr. Uzoma Achugamonu and the Dean of James Hope Business School, Prof. Olu Akinkugbe, welcomed the 3-women delegation namely; Dr. Esther Mmeka, Professor Uduak Mbong, and Jolaoso Motunrayo.

Vita thanked the NUC for setting a standard and assured them of James Hope Business School’s commitment to upholding the NUC standards.

Wherefore, the team lead of the NUC delegation, Dr. Esther Mmeka shared the views and expectations of the NUC.

She emphasized that the purpose of their visit was to foster a formidable relationship between the NUC and James Hope Business School, and to give suggestions on ways the Business School can improve the quality of its resources and programmes.

She further applauded the management of James Hope Business School for their hospitality, warm reception and readiness towards the exercise.

The NUC team were given a tour of the campus, reviewing the Business School’s classrooms, faculty o ces, library, proposed innovation hub and entrepreneurial centre with the director’s o ce, and other physical and human resources such as personnel records, MBA programme and Postgraduate School handbooks and other policy manuals.

The NUC team also pro ered recommendations where necessary. James Hope Business School looks forward to a continued partnership with the NUC.
