Başakşehir Set to Part Ways with Emmanuel Dennis

Turkish Super Lig club Başakşehir will not renew or attempt to buy Super Eagles attacker Emmanuel Dennis from Nottingham Forest according to reports.

Dennis joined Nottingham Forest from Watford two seasons ago, but it has been a topsy-turvy stay for the 26-year-old. Dennis made a huge impression at Watford, registering ten goals and seven assists in 35 appearances. He was expected to produce similar performances as he did at Watford, but he failed to do so.

Eventually, Dennis moved to Turkey on a season-long deal. Unfortunately, with the season halfway gone, the former Club Brugge man has made just eight appearances with no goal contributions.

The Nigerian forward has been a peripheral figure at the club, as coach Cagdas Atan does not see him as an important figure.

In a related development, Ethan Suzgun has reported that Başakşehir have already decided to part ways with Dennis.

This may open the door for Dennis to return to Nottingham Forest, as the club is currently struggling with injuries. And with Nuno Espirito Santo taking charge at the club, Dennis may have an opportunity to fight for a place.

Dennis joined the Turkish club in the summer, but he has not gotten much game time.
