Vice President Kashim Shettima has commissioned the multi-million-naira governor’s office complex redesigned by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, at the Kano State Government House.

The purpose of the new complex is to facelift and modernize the governor’s office in line with a modernized architectural design.
The remodeled office complex included an executive Conference room, a council chamber, and a VIP lounge with state-of-the-art office facilities.

A statement issued by the Director General Media and Publicity to the governor, Sanusi Bature Dawakin-Tofa, said the Vice President, while commissioning the complex, was assisted by Governor Yusuf; Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, Deputy Senate President, Sen. Barau I. Jibril, Sen. Kawu Sumaila, and Deputy Governor, Aminu Gwarzo.

He commended the political commitment demonstrated by Yusuf to ensure the timely execution of the project.
He noted that the remodeling of the governor’s office with state-of-the-art equipment would provide a conducive working atmosphere for the governor and his staffers to operate optimally and be able to provide good governance most efficiently.

“I congratulate Gov. Yusuf and members of the executive council for a job well done,” the Vice President declared.
“The Vice President, Speaker, and Deputy Senate President were in Kano to condole with the Governor, the good people of Kano, and the family of the late Ghali Umar Na’abba who died in the early hours of Wednesday,” he said.

The statement recalled that the complex was constructed by the first military administrator of the state, the late Commissioner of Police Audu Bako, in 1967.
