Oluwakemi Betty Arowosegbe is making waves in the realm of agricultural supply chain management with her strategic vision and expertise.

With an educational background rooted in agricultural economics, business administration, and supply chain operations, she is dedicated to transforming the efficiency and reliability of food transportation systems globally.

Her efforts are focused on enhancing the supply chain for grocery stores, ensuring higher quality food products reach consumers while driving down costs and improving overall operational efficiency.

Arowosegbe’s academic journey began at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology in Nigeria, where she earned a Bachelor of Technology in Agricultural Economics and Extension in 2007.

She later completed a Master of Business Administration in Financial Management from the same university in 2021.

Currently, she is advancing her knowledge at the University of Illinois Chicago, where she obtained a Master of Science in Supply Chain and Operations Management.

Her professional affiliations reflect her commitment to staying at the forefront of supply chain management.

Since October 2023, Arowosegbe has been a member of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals, and she joined the Association for Supply Chain Management in November 2023. These memberships provide her with invaluable insights and connections in the industry.

Arowosegbe’s professional experience is extensive, particularly her 12-year tenure at Sigma Pensions Limited, where she rose through the ranks to become Business Operations Head.

In this role, she developed a deep understanding of logistics and operations management.

“My years at Sigma Pensions were critical in developing the skills necessary to manage complex supply chains,” says Arowosegbe. “It taught me the importance of efficiency and resilience in operations.”

Her thought leadership in the field is well-documented through her publications, including “Risk Management in Global Supply Chains: Addressing Vulnerabilities in Shipping and Logistics” and “Sustainability and Risk Management in Shipping and Logistics: Balancing Environmental Concerns with Operational Resilience.”

These articles highlight her commitment to creating robust and sustainable supply chain systems.

Arowosegbe’s new initiative focuses on leveraging her expertise to revolutionize food transportation for grocery stores worldwide. “The aim is to create a supply chain that is not only efficient but also resilient and sustainable,” she noted .
