Unveiling Michael Iveoghene Ofomukoro

Michael Ofomukoro, popularly known as Micali is a talented Nigerian singer, performer and songwriter. He kicked off his singing career in his home church, First Baptist Church, Ughelli North Delta State, Nigeria where he sang in the choir for over ten years and later recorded an album of five songs in 2005.

In 2007, Micali joined a reputable music group, ‘mascot’ in Benin City, Edo State, where he served as the lead singer. His third album was recorded with a known label where he signed up with ‘Street Beat’ owned by Mr. Rodney Egbenoma but it never got to limelight due to unforeseen circumstances.

Born into a core Christian home to late Chief khalil Aregbe Ofomukoro and Mrs. Toristeju Eustachia Ofomukoro, Micali hails from Agbarha-otor in Ughelli, headquarters of Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.

Due to pressure from family, Micali at some point abandoned his music career and focused solely on his academics where he bagged a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mass Communication from Our Saviour Polytechnic, Osisa Tech Enugu State.

He served as a class room teacher at Adudu Primary School in Obi Local Government Area, Nassarawa State during his one year compulsory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) 2015-2016.

Subsequently, he made positive efforts to work with ‘Mr. Free’ but it proved abortive as money was a major constraint. His latest singles are a success today because of God’s mercy and favour upon his life.

Thankfully, his songs are now on all streaming platforms including YouTube, SoundCloud, iTunes, Amazon Prime, Audomack and Spotify as ‘Mr. Micali’ and on tiktok, Facebook and Instagram.
