Tillaman Wins Best Nigerian Artiste In The Diaspora For a Second Time

As a testament to good works and amazing craftsmanship, Adetona Adeyemi also known as Tillaman was presented an award of honour as “Best Nigerian Artiste In The Diaspora” by Thebeatz Awards

Tillaman started in Nigeria before moving to the United Kingdom, where he championed the course of putting Nigerian music on the global map, serving as a cultural bridge between Nigeria and the diaspora in general. Tillaman’s musical journey has taken him far and wide, headlining sold-out shows and sharing the performance stage with names like Rick Ross, Davido, Wizkid, 50 Cents’ G Unit, and Taio Cruz, just to mention a few. With several hit songs to his credit, the talent and skill he possesses cannot be overemphasized.

Recall that the year 2011 was a breakout moment for Tillaman whose monster hit single “Koma Roll” retained the top spot on numerous music charts on different radio channels. He had Vector on the song, which brought about a great influence to the sound beyond the shores of Africa and beyond.

The remix to the song got bigger featuring some of Africa’s topmost acts; Burna Boy, Trigga Madtonic, Iyanya, Phyno and Ice Prince.

To follow up the success, Tillaman’s audio and video for “Oni Reason” grounded him more as a force to reckon with in the Nigerian music scene where one of Africa’s leading acts “Davido” had to jump on the remix which garnered a worldwide success.

With his music and his constant “man of the people” stance through all his works and several charity activities, Tillaman has proven to be a brand of repute in various forms, resulting in numerous awards and other nominations.

In the United Kingdom, he has also shown his peers and new generations the beauty of the African culture through his music, lifestyle, events and other activities which has helped Nigerians in the diaspora retain the essence of the Yoruba culture.

The very current “Oyo State Youth Musical Ambassador” as conferred by His Excellency, the former Governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi has not only done well for himself but also a true representation of Oyo state, Yoruba culture and Nigeria at large.

No doubt, the crown prince of the Oyo Monarch, the late Alaafin of Oyo Adetona Adeyemi deserves this award.
