When asked about his origins, Bhadman Fame, formerly known as Dwayne B, proudly declared, “I am an artiste from Edo state, Benin City.” Now based in Lagos state, Fame acknowledged his roots, emphasizing his journey from the Christ Embassy youth choir in Benin to officially recording music in Lagos 16 years ago.

Reflecting on his “aha” moment, Fame revealed, “My final ‘aha’ moment came 13 years ago when I recorded my first hit single titled OJON RO.” Despite its success, the track faced challenges in recognition and promotion due to financial constraints at the time.

Fame’s foray into the music industry gained momentum with the support of his mother and the guidance of legendary producer Fear Deevee. The artiste expressed gratitude, stating, “He taught and put me in the right direction with my music.”

Describing his sound as “Indie Afrobeat pop music,” Fame explained, “My sound is very unique, a blend of afrobeat pop, house music, R&B, and indie music.” He attributes his differentiation to his ability to deliver world-class music comparable to A-list artistes.

Influenced by artists like Chris Brown, Wande Coal, Wiz Kid, and Rema, Fame has released two EPs, “The Bcity Bad Man” and “Bhadman the 13th,” with music videos for tracks “Mara” and “Juice.”

In a closing statement, Bhadman Fame urged his city, Benin City, to support him on his journey. He sees himself as the missing link between Afrobeat and Pop music, determined to bridge that gap and put Benin City on the map.
