The recent resolve of the President Bola Tinubu’s administration to ensure a more inclusive and prosperous future for the country’s creative economy seems to have given impetus to players and stakeholders in the nation’s creative and entertainment industry to contribute to growing concerns about his administration.
Following the criticism about the President Tinubu’s policies, especially by some entertainers and Nigerians, a Nollywood actress/filmmaker and Miss Heritage Nigeria 2015, Benedicta Akpana Ogbang, has shared some of her thoughts on some of the burning issues, while urging Nigerians to be patient with the current administration.
The former SA to former Governor of Cross River State, Ben Ayade said Nigerians should be hopeful for a better tomorrow.
She said: “I believe everything in life is political and we need to all play a role as citizens to make sure the President succeed and not sit behind our phones to criticise everything that the president does.
“Elections are long gone and 2024 budget has been signed, which means the President is ready to hit the ground running regardless of what anyone thinks about him. I strongly believe in his leadership qualities because he’s a builder of people and I believe everything will fall in place eventually.
“Let us just give him a little more time. He’s a father and no father will want to see his children suffer for so long without considering their wellbeing and future. I think he should also listen to the plight of the people and make sure everyone appointed in various capacities is focused on the responsibilities assigned to them. He should also make sure his appointees are accountable to the people through their decisions and actions,” she advised.
