From Big Screen to Prime Streaming ‘A Weekend to Forget’

Inkblot Productions took the Nigerian moviedom by storm with the cinema release of its psychological thriller, “A Weekend to Forget.”

The movie which is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video was directed by Inkblot’s co-founder Damola Ademola and stars an ensemble cast featuring Daniel Etim-Effiong, Ini Dima-Okojie, Stan Nze, Erica Nlewedim, Elozonam Ogbulu, Uche Montana, Neo Akpofure, and Akin Lewis.

The buzz surrounding the film began in May 2023, when Inkblot announced the commencement of principal photography. Anticipation reached a fever pitch among movie goers eager to unravel the dark edges of human psychology depicted in this unique thriller when a tantalising teaser dropped in September 2023

“A Weekend to Forget” marks Ademola’s directorial debut, and the collaboration with Film One Studios brought this gripping story to life. The film explores the consequences of pursuing one’s darkest desires, delving into the intricate web of human emotions and actions.

The project’s conception was credited to Ademola, who worked closely with Chiemeka Osagwu on the story, while the screenplay was crafted by Joy Isi Bewaji. The film received high praise during its cinema run in 2023, with notable endorsements.
