Catherine Eze Leads As An Executive Leader in HR and Business Transformation

Known for her expertise in Human Resources Management, Business Transformation, Corporate and Customer Services, Catherine Eze is a result-oriented Business leader with over 23 years extensive experience. As an HR and Business Director with extensive experience in delivering Strategic and Operational HR solutions, it cuts across the Financial, Aviation, Consulting, Oil & Gas and the Energy industries.

Eze holds a Bachelor of Law (LLB) degree from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria and subsequently attend the Nigerian Law school in Lagos in 1995. She also holds a Master of Laws (LLM) from the University of Lagos. Her skills and expertise include Human Resources Management Knowledge; Recruitment and Strategic sourcing; Strategic Business planning; Employee Relations Management; Compensation design and Management.

With a strong track record for delivering critical business initiatives required to build new ventures, accelerate growth, revitalize non-performing operations, and deliver strong business results, she has also delivered impactful HR due-diligence Start-ups and integration support for several business acquisitions as a consultant.

Eze revamped the HR function of two multinationals where she worked and successfully addressed the leadership and talent capabilities challenges. She partnered with business leaders to develop and implement the HR structures, the operational policies and procedures that led to capable and efficient workforce and profitable business results.

Her professional memberships include Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM); Women in Energy Network Member, SHRM; AHRD Networks and Chartered Institute of Management Consultants. Eze is also a distinguished Leader, Certified Board of Leadership Professionals and an Associate, Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria.

As the Chief Human Resource/Customer Experience Officer, Eko Electricity Distribution Company, Eze is responsible for developing and implementing strategic company-wide Customer Experience initiatives required to improve Customer Relations and Brand loyalty across the 11 Business Districts and 30 Zonal offices of the organization.
Prior to this role, she served as the Human Resources Director, Nigerstar7 (a member of the Subsea7 international Group) delivering strategic and operational leadership for all Human resource and Corporate Services function. She also worked as Human Resources Director, Subsea7 and Human Resources Manager Africa, General Electric (GE). Other work experiences include Human Resource Manager, Virgin Nigeria Airways Limited; Head of Human Resources & Administration, Indemnity Finance Limited; Human Resources Manager, Platinum Bank Limited and Senior Consultant, Arthur Andersen (now KPMG).

She has participated in several trainings both locally and internationally and have attended relevant trainings to become a certified Chartered Management Consultant; HR leadership; Certified Management Specialist (CMS); Strategic HR Management by subsea7. She also attended the International Leadership and Organizational Behavior Certificate offered by Universita Bocconi through Coursera and the Manager’s Toolkit: A Practical Guide to Managing People at Work Certificate offered by the University of London through Coursera.

Among the conferences and workshops Eze attended are Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria Professional Development Webinar on Women in Leadership: Taking a Seat at the Table; Chartered Institute of Management Consultants Assessment Workshop and Lagos Business School Seminar on Building and Leading the team. She has also been awarded as a Distinguished Leader by Certified Board of Leadership Professionals and holds a Certificate of recognition by Ripple Impact for excellent facilitation of the HR Business Partners (HRBP) Masterclass.
