Kogi APC Vows to Sanction Members for Working  against Party at Poll

The All Progressive Congress (APC), Kogi State Chapter,has vowed to sanction all members, who worked against the party during the 2023, November 11th governorship poll in the state.

The party, however, restated its commitment to reward those who were loyal to the course of the APC to win the just concluded election in the State.

Chairman of the APC in the state, Abdullahi Bello,  disclosed this while receiving the report and commendation of the 11-man committee on the review of November 2023 governorship election in the state.

Bello commended members of the committee for the job weldone, noting that the report and recommendation would be useful to the party in the.

He stated that the party would look into the report and commendation, stressing  that the party would reward those who worked hard for the success of the party.

He maintained that members of the party who did anti-party activities would be punished too.

Meanwhile, the Kogi APC 11-man committee on the  review of the outcome of the 2023 governorship election  in 21 LG councils of the state has submitted its report and recommendation to the party.

While presenting the report to Bello at the secretariat in Lokoja, yesterday, the Co-Chairman of the Committee and Commissioner for Solid Mineral Resources, Bashir Mohammed Abubarka, explained that the committee has done its work in line with directive of the party.

Abubarka, who represented the Chairman of the Committee and Speaker Kogi State House of Assembly,  pointed out that the Committee met 10 times, met with the governor and the deputy governor respectively  once in the course of their investigation.He noted that the committee was given two weeks of its assignment, stressing the committee has concluded report and recommendation.
