Leaked Audio Indicts Mother of Missing Child, Says Church

Fresh revelations in a leaked audio have shed further light on the development surrounding the alleged missing baby at Mercy Land Deliverance Church in Warri, also known as Mercy City, officials have said.

A statement issued by the church said, “The leaked audio, involving the mother of the child, Ruth Matthew and a conspirator showed that the church may be a target for blackmailed.

“While the Human Rights Radio in Abuja had last year dropped the case, insisting that the case lack merit and consistency.

“The founder of the church, Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin, was previously accused by Matthew that her child got missing in the church.

“The audio showed that the child was only framed to be kidnapped by known persons to the woman. 

“The church had insisted that Ruth Matthew, a physically challenged woman only exploited her condition to carry out the crime. 

“In an audio confession, Ruth admitted to planning the abduction in collusion with like-minded individuals. Her motive, as revealed in her statement, was to extort money from the respected religious leader, Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin.

“This revelation cast shadow on the nature of the initial accusations against Fufeyin and underscores the importance of discerning the truth amid claims.”
