ICSAN Names Okuneye New Registrar

The Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN) has announced the appointment of Mr. Babatunde Oladipo Okuneye as the registrar and Chief Executive of the Institute.
Okuneye had earlier served as the ICSAN’s Deputy Registrar, Operation between 2017 to 2018.
ICSAN in a statement described Okuneye as an experienced administrator who will bring his wealth of experience to bear in the institute.
According to ICSAN, Okuneye holds a Higher National Diploma, HND in Business Administration from Lagos State Polytechnic and proceeds to obtaining a Postgraduate Diploma and MBA in Marketing from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi.
“His commitment to continuous learning is evident through his participation in various training programs, covering topics such as Repositioning Directors for Values-Based Leadership, Contemporary HRM Practice: Issues and Challenges, and ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Auditor’s training”, the statement added.
Okuneye has held several positions at Equity Indemnity Insurance Company Limited, First Chartered Insurance Company Limited, First Atlantic Bank Plc, Virgin Nigeria Airways and Rockson Engineering Company.
He was also a Deputy Governor of Lagos, Mr.Olufemi Pedro between 2003 – 2007.
Okuneye belongs to a number of professional bodies that include Chartered Institute of Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ACIS); Associate of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (ACIPM) and Certified Recruitment Analyst (CRA) by Carlton Advanced Management Institute/Middle Earth HR.
He is also a member of Certified Compensation and Benefits Manager (CCBM) by Carlton Advanced Management Institute/Middle Earth HR, and the Nigerian Institute of Training and Development and the Nigerian Institute of Management.
ICSAN is a leading Professional Body dedicated to enhancing the status and practice of Corporate Governance and Public Administration in Nigeria. It is the sole authorized body in Nigeria to conduct examinations leading to the qualification of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators.
