UTME 2024: Remita Affirms Seamless Registration, Offers Incentives to Agent
Foremost indigenous payment company, Remita has assured a seamless registration process for the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) registrations, as it began sales of ePins for the purpose.
It noted that it was committed to helping the young ones to fulfill their career aspirations. Remita’s assurance was just as the Joint Admission and Matriculations Board (JAMB) declared sales of ePINs for 2024 UTME and DE registrations. According to the examination body, sale of ePins commenced January 8 and will be closing February 24, 2024.
Speaking, Retail Manager at Remita, Chinedu Alisa said, “We are committed to empowering young people across Nigeria to achieve their academic dreams, The sale of ePINs on our platform simplifies the registration process and eliminates any inconvenience that candidates may face during their JAMB registration. We are proud to play a part in helping prospective students take control of their academic journeys”
Alisa added, “Candidates are required to register with their National Identification Number (NIN) by sending an SMS to 55019 or 66019 with the word ‘NIN,’ followed by a space and their 11-digit NIN. They will then receive a 10-digit profile code via the phone number that should be used to purchase their ePINs. They can also proceed to the Remita website on then choose ‘UTME’ or ‘Direct Entry’ and input their profile code, registered phone number, and other necessary details. Once payment is completed, the PIN will be delivered to the candidate’s registered phone number and displayed on their Remita receipt”.
He said the organisation has provided a range of payment options for candidates to ease the process, adding that ePins can be obtained via Remita agent, bank branch and JAMB’s e-facility website. He explained further that the organisation will also be empowering agents, schools, and other partners across Nigeria who resell JAMB ePINs, with increased commissions who purchase on Remita.
Alisa also cautioned agents against selling ePins above JAMB’s approved sales price, adding that any one caught will face due punishment.
